BKMISD and UNAI Hub Kaznu held an action for SDGs

The action “We support clean environment” was carried out in the framework of SDGs 13 and 15 owing to the International Peace Day. A group volunteers initiated to collecting waste gathered in one of the parks in Almaty and scrutinized the visitors’ attitudes towards cleansing and avoiding pollution. Apparently, a brainstorming organized for the team reflected their concepts of “Clean environment” and brought out several solution points.  A round table discussion in the open-air environment revealed more creativity for humanitarian activities on global climate. During the discussion activists shared with opinions of how to:

• improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning

• ensure the conservation, restoration and sustainable use of terrestrial and inland freshwater ecosystems and their services;
• promote fair and equitable sharing of the benefits arising from the utilization of genetic resources;
• end poaching and trafficking of protected species of flora and fauna.
