COMPETENCY IN HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM

Al-Farabi KazNU held a joint meeting of educational associations of the University of Narkhoz and KazNU, which was attended by representatives of the RUMS and the heads of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The subject of discussion was the movement of UMO RUMS from a collegial body to a design office and the competitiveness of universities.

The session “Competitiveness of the higher education system and individual universities” was devoted to strategically important issues of the development of higher education.

The session discussed issues of increasing the competitiveness of universities, ways to enter the WUR and QS WUR international ratings, measures aimed at improving the quality of higher education.

Currently, in order to increase the competitiveness of universities, various state programs are being developed and implemented. Most of the programs to increase the competitiveness of leading universities and their consortia are aimed at improving the level of integration of universities with the real sector of the economy. This will accelerate the transfer of knowledge and technology to the economy in order to ensure long-term economic growth and ensure sustainable socio-economic development of the country.
