World Radio Day of UNESCO in the global map
From 6 to 8 February 2015 International Winter School of Journalism and Communication held on the slopes of Alatau in the gorge ” Белбұлақ ” in the educational complex ” Тау-Тұран.” The school was attended by over 150 students from the Faculty of Journalism, from the boarding school “Daryn” named after Abay with intensive study of of the Kazakh language, as well as representatives of the press “Cheese Media” and LLP “Ural Press”, Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, and journalists from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
Organizer of the Winter School for the World Radio Day and the 70th anniversary of the UN is the Research Center Humanitarian Studies “Media Sphere” at the al-Farabi. Information Office of the UN RC sponsored school of journalism, as well as the UNESCO Cluster Office, “Chief Editors Club” and publishing house “Kazakh University” provided information support. At the opening ceremony of the Winter School an official message of Chief Director of UNESCO World Radio Day was listened to audio message by doctoral student of the KazNU named after al-Farabi Zarina Buyenbay in the official languages of the United Nations, the student blog http://journalism.kz/ was also introduced, and it has continued by cultural and promotional activities and intellectual games.
During the Winter School all known journalists of mass media Abenov Murat Timur Serzhanov, Muhamedali Buharbaev Kanat Auesbay Olga Caplin, Serikkazy Kakibalanov, Orken Kenzhebek Jacob Fedorov, Nursultan Kurman and Aita Sultanalieva (Kyrgyzstan), Fatima Muminov (Uzbekistan) Byulbyul Alievalar (Azerbaijan) held master classes.
As a result of activities, academic media online program with in-depth study of journalism in the media industry, editorials for the preparation of a new generation of journalists and media support free courses, organizing academic training mobility of young journalists between the countries of Central Asia and the implementation were offered and suggested.
The youngest member of the media school Omirbek Madina said: “I decided for myself to become experienced media representative.” Student of Kyzylorda National University named after Korkyt ata Serikhan Zhuzeev expressed his opinion about this school, “winter school really helped expand the horizons of knowledge to young journalists”.
Authors of creative ideas and projects, who participated in the Winter School of Journalism, students of the KazNu named after al-Farabi Meyrhanu Amangeldi, of Kyzylorda National University named after Korkyt ata Serikhanu Zhuzeevu, North-Kazakhstan State University named after M. Kozybaev Tanirbergenov Akbope were appointed with the support of the scholarship sponsors. As well as students of the KazNu named after al-Farabi Asel Srkyt, of University “Turan” Igilikova Gulaliyev, of Boarding School “Daryn” named after Abay with in-depth study of the Kazakh language and literature Zhansaya Sebepova were presented with gifts from the domestic jewelry company “Brooch” for the best article.
Winter School of Journalism and Communication has become a platform, which was attended by representatives of several generations for the free exchange of information and creative ideas.
