New Silk Way Model United Nations in the Turar Ryskulov New Economic University
New Silk Way Model United Nations conference widens its scopes. The organizing committee makes everything possible to popularize the meaning of the organization, importance of current issues and helps young students to open their potential, develop and improve their skills.
On February 26, 2016 the conference which was organized by the NSWMUN team took place at the New Economic University named after T. Ryskulov. There were two committees – General Assembly and Economic and Social Council. Very interesting and important topics were offered to discuss. Thus in the General Assembly committee the delegates discussed the issue of asylum policy in the European Union, and in the ECOSOC – Securing and attaining sustainable water.
High guests showed honor taking part in the opening ceremony. Their views on the proposed themes expressed the Rector of Turar Ryskulov New Economic University Krzysztof Rybinski, Mr. Ferenc Blaumann, Consul General of Hungary in Almaty, Kazakhstan; Mr Andrzej Papierz, Consul General of Poland in Almaty; Mr. Mark Moody, Consul General of the United States of America in Almaty; Ms. Tiziana Bonapace, Head of the ESCAP Subregional Office for North and Central Asia, Almaty; Vlastimil Samek, Representative of the UN Department of Public Information, Almaty; Sergey Karpov, National Program Officer, Information and Communication, UNESCO, Almaty; Ronald Voogdt dean of faculty of international and educational program, Turar Ryskulov New Economic University; Dr. Rafis Abazov, Director of New Silk Way Model UN Program.
The sessions chaired by the members of NSWMUN organizing committee were interesting, discussions – fruitful, mood – fantastic.
